Client's Brief
As Rinnai has been supplying hot water systems for Resplendant Ceylon projects for many years we were asked to design an alternative to the existing electrical Jacuzzi heating system, that was not coping with the demands of the facility, especially during winter. Electricity costs were also rising and the heat up times for the spa were too long and often didn’t meet the target temperature.
Approved Solution: Rinnai Gas Tankless
Rinnai worked with the client to implement a gas fired system that incorporates Rinnai Gas Tankless Technology, a titanium tube in tube heat exchanger and a quality control system.
The system installed for the Dunkeld Bungalow allowed the clients halve the heat up time of the Jacuzzi, even in winter, and produce a saving of 30% on operational costs of the spa. More importantly the Jacuzzi target temperature was easily maintained in winter, even on the coldest days.
Given the success of the change over to gas from electricity at the Dunkeld Bungalow, a similar system was incorporated into the design of the new Jacuzzi at the Tientsin Bungalow.
Both systems are now fully operational and exceed the clients standards in terms of operational performance, reliability and running costs.
